Course Objectives 
1Ability to explain the structure, planning principles, network types and network characteristics of power transmission and distribution systems.
2Ability to apply conductor selection, voltage drop and cross-section calculation criteria in overhead line conductors and underground cables.
3Ability to evaluate the mechanical and electrical properties of circuit elements (conductors, insulators, poles, etc.) used in power transmission lines and to interpret possible failures.
4Ability to analyze the operating principles of circuit elements (transformers, disconnectors, breakers, busbars, etc.) used in switchyards and cabinets and to interpret possible failures.
