Course Objective
The aim of this course is to provide students with a comprehensive and advanced understanding of the theory and practice of monetary policy in the modern market economy, with reference to the Turkish economy.
Brief Content of the Course
The aims and instruments of monetary policy; indicators of monetary policy, monetary transmission mechanisms, monetary targeting strategies, monetarist monetary policy; Keynesian monetary policy, monetary policy in the New Classical and Keynesian approaches.

To be able to explain the views of different schools on the effects of monetary policy on the economy.

Ability to analyze the channels through which monetary policy affects the economy.

Discuss the objectives of monetary policy, the methods used to achieve these objectives, and the effectiveness of these methods.
