Course Objective
The aim of the Surface Chemistry course is to provide the ability to define the basic concepts of surface chemistry, to analyze data related to surface and interface properties as well as surface phenomena, and to classify and explain surface interaction types.
Brief Content of the Course
Definition of concepts related to surfaces and interfaces, importance of surface energy and surface tension, methods of measuring surface tension, thermodynamics of the surface, surface catalysis and surface kinetics, events occurring at the interface, colloidal systems, adsorption at the interface and basic properties.
