Course Objective
The aim of this course is to help students understand the fundamental principles of democracy, the historical development of human rights, and the interaction between these two concepts. Students will learn about national and international mechanisms for the protection of human rights and develop a sense of citizenship in democratic societies. The course also encourages reflection on the concepts of rule of law, freedom, equality, and justice.
