Course Objective
Study of strength issues such as the concept of force, moment, supports, loads, static and simple states of resistance such as friction, stresses, and cross-section effects.
Brief Content of the Course
Basic concepts of statics, balance of material points, space forces system, moment concept, moment of a force relative to a point and an axis, equivalent force systems, carrier systems, centers of gravity, moment of inertia, internal forces, friction force, stress, safety coefficient, in beams. internal forces and cross section diagrams, normal force, mechanical properties of solid bodies, simple and compound strength cases.
