Course Objective
The aim of this course is to enable students to learn the social structure of Turkey, the functioning of institutions, the changes that have occurred in the historical process, and to help them make a healthier analysis about today’s Turkey.
Brief Content of the Course
The concept and definition of social structure, Ottoman social structure, approaches of different disciplines, different conceptualizations about Ottoman social structure, social structure in Turkey in the Republican period, the effects of political approaches on the social structure of the Republican period, Turkey's social structure in the context of culture, family structure in Turkey , urban structure, population structure, Sustainability in the context of social change.
