Course Objective
To enable students to approach the concept of the city with a sociological perspective and to have knowledge about the structural features of urban society.
Brief Content of the Course
City and Society, Sociological Analysis of the Concept of the City, Urban Problematic in Early Social Theory, Urban Problematic in Critical Theory, Globalization and the City, Urban Transformation and Spatial Segregation, Urban Inequalities and Social Justice, Urban Poverty and Social Exclusion, Urban and Sub-urban Culture.
