Course Objective
The aim of this course is to help students understand the relationship between sports communication and media; to provide information about the functioning, role, and effects of sports media; to teach effective communication techniques in the field of sports; and to develop media literacy skills.
Brief Content of the Course
The fundamental concepts of sports communication, the history and development of sports media, sports journalism, types of media, the impact of social media on sports, crisis communication, sports marketing and public relations, media ethics, and communication strategies for athletes and organizations are covered in this course.
