Course Objective
Knows the sources that nourished Classical Turkish Literature and the sources of this period. Conducts research on selected texts from 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th century Turkish literature, understands the language, social conditions and worldview of the period, and makes inferences about the period.
Brief Content of the Course
The nature and conceptual scope of Old Turkish Literature; the fundamental characteristics, main genres and important representatives of Divan literature; research studies on selected texts from 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th century Turkish Literature. Studies revealing the linguistic understanding, social conditions and worldview of the period.
