GENERAL INFORMATION

Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, Institute of Educational Sciences was founded in accordance with the 2011/2018 Cabinet decision published in the Official Gazette dated 15th June 2011 and hence took its place in Turkish Higher Education.

Our institution was established to gather graduate programs in training and teaching under one roof and to equip academicians and teachers with the skills, and knowledge they need to find solutions to problems in education.

It is considered that the Institute of Educational Sciences will support the improvement of our University, the increase of researches focusing on national and international educational problems, and the publishing of these researches. Moreover, it will provide a formal dimension to the relationships among school administrators, managers and training inspectors concerning training issues with the Ministry of National Education.

It is believed that the cooperation with the Ministry of National Education and also the collaboration with other institutions and organizations in Administrator Training issues will help in promoting and improving our university.

Currently, our institution offers 6 master’s programs, 7 non-thesis masters programs and 3 Doctorate programs. The Institute of Educational Sciences is located on the ground floor in the Deanery Building of the Faculty of Education.
