From Our Producing University to Tables: 200 Tons of Apple Harvest
The harvest of apples grown in the production application areas of our Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies Application Center was carried out with the participation of our Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Uslu, faculty administration, academic staff and students. Approximately 200 tons of harvest was obtained from the apple orchard planted on an area of 35 decares.
Seven Different Types of Apples Will Be Sold Both in Our Sales Offices and to the Foreign Market
Seven different types of apples obtained from the harvest, namely Golden Delicious, Scarlet, Granny Smith, Super Chief, Fuji, Starking and Altın Çekirdek, will meet the consumer in our Sales Offices in our University's central campus and Aşağıkayabaşı Campus. In addition, a significant portion of the products will be sold to the foreign market, thus providing additional income to our University's revolving fund budget.

Making a statement on the subject, our Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Uslu stated that our pioneering university in agriculture continues to provide economic contributions to both our city and our region with value-added products produced in application fields in addition to education, training and scientific research activities. Emphasizing that approximately 200 tons of yield was obtained from the 35-acre apple harvest in the production application fields of our Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies, our Rector added that the seven different types of apples obtained will be brought to consumers both through our Sales Offices and the foreign market, thus providing additional income to the revolving fund budget.
Finally, our Rector stated that our regional development-focused university will continue its work in the priority area of agriculture-food with determination, as in many other fields, and thanked all our staff and students who contributed to the scientific studies in our application fields and production application activities.
