SWOT Analysis

Strengths:

• Having six academics in the department who have completed the Class Teacher Education Doctorate Program, a very new program in Turkey.
• Teacher candidates effectively acquiring both theoretical and practical knowledge needed throughout their education.
• Ensuring that theoretical knowledge given to teacher candidates is always supported with practical applications, preparing them in the most qualified and competent manner for their professional careers.
• Utilizing all technological infrastructure during the teaching process in the department and developing the ability to use these tools.
• Easy access to all scientific resources needed during the teaching process (internet access, libraries, etc.).

Weaknesses:

• The absence of a practice school for class teacher candidates affiliated with the faculty and the department.

Opportunities:

• Being part of a highly respected and noble profession, along with having better chances and success rates in starting the profession compared to other fields (teaching areas).
• Considering the insufficiency of academic staff in the department, opportunities to enroll in postgraduate education programs, continue academic studies, and potentially become research assistants, leading to a career as an academic in the field.
• Utilizing the quality education provided in the department and taking advantage of professional development opportunities to become a highly skilled teacher capable of working in private schools.
