Department of Environmental Engineering

Laboratories

Our departmental laboratory has the competence to increase students' practical skills in terms of both physical space and technical equipment.

Common Analysis are BOD5, COD, suspended solids, sulphate, TKN, dissolved oxygen, dissolved solids, alkalinity, acidity, hardness, pH, and conductivity. Most of the analysis can be done using analytical and instrumental methods.

  Environmental Chemistry Lab.

  • Environmental Chemistry Laboratory is engaged in determining the pollution levels of domestic and industrial wastewater, drinking water quality and conducting treatment of drinking water-wastewater.
In the Environmental Chemistry Laboratory, various physical, chemical and biochemical parameters can be analyzed in drinking water, surface water and groundwater.
BOD5, COD measurement sets, suspended solids measurement set, distilled water device, spectrophotometer, dissolved oxygen meter, kjheldal nitrogen set,
Our instrumental devices such as conductivity meter, pH meter, turbidity meter, oven, oven, incubator, desiccator, water bath, precision scales are used efficiently in both undergraduate and graduate applications.

 Environmental Microbiology Lab.

  • Sterilization techniques that have a very important place in Microbiology Laboratories
The use of the microscope frequently used in microbiology studies
Examination of microorganisms in water and wastewater environment
Examination of microorganism species that have an important place in wastewater treatment by enrichment methods
    Deriving microbial growth kinetics
    Bacteria staining techniques
Examination of media used in the growth of microorganisms
    Microbial cultivation techniques
To provide bacteriological analysis and control of waters and demonstrate total, fecal coliform experiments
Experimental studies are carried out on the introduction of disinfection techniques that have an important place in drinking water.
