The aim of the English Preparatory Program at the School of Foreign Languages ​​is to develop students' English language knowledge and skills in line with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages ​​and the Turkish Higher Education Qualifications Framework.

The program aims to enable students to use English correctly, effectively, and appropriately in their academic studies, professional lives, and social communication environments.

In this regard, the educational objectives of the program are as follows:

1. To develop students' listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills with a holistic approach.

2. To enable students to use English as an effective tool in the processes of accessing, understanding, interpreting, and transferring information.

3. To improve students' ability to follow academic texts, understand basic academic content, and express themselves orally and in writing.

4. To support students in communicating in English in different social, academic, and professional contexts.

5. To develop students' independent learning, critical thinking, collaborative work, and lifelong learning skills.

6. To contribute to students acquiring the foreign language proficiency they will need during their undergraduate/associate degree studies.
