Program Outcomes

Students who successfully complete the English Preparatory Program are expected to have acquired the following knowledge, skills, and competencies:

 

1.      They can effectively use English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in academic, professional, and social contexts.

2.      They can communicate in English in written and spoken form on daily, academic, and professional topics.

3.      They can distinguish main ideas, supporting ideas, and important details in written and spoken English texts.

4.      They can read, understand, interpret, and evaluate different types of English texts.

5.      They can express their feelings, thoughts, opinions, and suggestions clearly, understandably, and appropriately in English.

6.      They can use the basic English vocabulary, grammatical structures, and communication strategies they may need in their academic and professional lives.

7.      They can create paragraphs, short texts, emails, reports, and academic texts in written English expression.

8.      They will have developed skills in giving presentations, participating in discussions, asking questions, and expressing opinions in English.

9.      They will be able to select and take notes on necessary information from English conversations, course content, and audiovisual materials they listen to.

10.  They can effectively use digital resources, dictionaries, online materials, and learning technologies in the English learning process.

11.  They develop independent learning, lifelong learning, critical thinking, and collaborative work skills.

12.  By gaining awareness of different cultures and communication environments, they can use the foreign language as a tool for intercultural communication.
