In partnership with our university, Kazakh National Girls Pedagogical University and Baku Eurasia University, the 10th Turkic World Studies Symposium and Workshop was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Our University, Within the scope of the workshop, "Our Root is a Turk" festival was organized, and the Turkish World came together with this festival. The Festival, which was the scene of great enthusiasm, was attended by the Rector of our University, Prof. Dr. Together with Hasan Uslu, Mayor of Niğde Emrah Özdemir, our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hamdi Doğan, many academicians and guests attended. Making one of the opening speeches of the festival, he said, “Today, as scientists from many parts of the Turkish World, we came together in Almaty, on the outskirts of Alatau. Our university, Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, is located at the foot of the Aladağlar in Niğde. We brought greetings from Aladağlar in Turkey to Aladağ in Kazakhstan. Mustafa Şokay, one of the Kazakh intellectuals, said, “Every Turk has two homelands. The first is where he was born, the second is Türkiye”.
We have brought greetings from your second homeland to our ancestral lands with similar feelings and thoughts”. Dr. Hasan Uslu continued his explanations by also mentioning the developments related to the Turkish World. The importance of this unity, built on a common historical and cultural heritage, is understood more and more every day in every place where Turkish footprints are found, from the Altays to the Danube. Continuing his statements with his words, our Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Uslu stated that the historical ties between the countries of the Turkic World also gave them the determination to work and cooperate. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Uslu made his statement, “The International Symposium on Turkic World Studies, which we organized together with the Kazakh National Girls Pedagogical University and Baku Eurasia University, makes significant contributions to the education, science, culture and art dimensions of the cooperation between the Turkish States. The symposium has acted as a common communication and cooperation ground not only between partner universities but also among other universities participating in the symposium, and has become one of the most prestigious symposiums. With all these feelings and thoughts, I would like to thank the scientists and researchers who will participate in our event and present their papers, those who contributed to the organization of the symposium, and the Kazakh National Girls Pedagogical University and its Honorable Rector Prof. Dr. Thank you very much to Ms. Gülmira Kanay.” ended with statements.
