1To give information about importance of forage conservation methods in maintaining of feed quality in animal nutrition and to give information about the principles of preservation methods
2To give information about the factors affecting feed value and quality of roughage conserved with different methods.
3Decision making about forage preservation methods, to give information about the treatment of roughage in the field before conservation, and harvesting and mechanisation.
4To give information about the methods of hay, silage and haylage making and the factors affecting quality of these preservation methods silage bacteria and additives..
5To give information about the feeding forage preserved by different methods to animals
6To give information about how to decide which roughage preservation method is used in different farm systems
