The 1st International Digital Agriculture Congress (INDAC 2025) Was Held with Great Interest
Our university hosted the 1st International Digital Agriculture Congress in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Sivas Cumhuriyet University, TURSTEP, the KOP Regional Development Administration, the AHILER Development Agency, and numerous national and international stakeholders.
While agriculture is humanity's oldest endeavor, it is being reshaped by digitalization. As we face challenges such as global climate change, food security, efficient resource use, and sustainability, science and technology, particularly digital agriculture, play a critical role in solving these problems. Therefore, our congress highlighted topics such as smart agricultural technologies, big data and cloud computing, artificial intelligence-supported decision-making mechanisms, autonomous systems, and agricultural sustainability.
This year, 80 abstracts were submitted from 15 different countries. Of the participants, 65% were international and 35% were from Turkey. Among them are distinguished academics and researchers from a wide geography, from the US to China, Pakistan to Nigeria, Hungary to Ghana. This picture perfectly reflects the international nature of our congress and the scientific bridge it has created in the field of digital agriculture.
INDAC 2025 was not only a scientific gathering, but also a significant platform for experts from different countries to share knowledge and develop new collaborations. The common projects and ideas developed here are intended to make tangible contributions to the digital transformation of agriculture.
