Within the scope of the European Union Climate Change Adaptation Project call, as the implementer of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, the project titled "Implementing a Climate Change Adaptation Strategy to Create Economic Opportunities for Rural Women", coordinated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ece Ümmü Deveci, our faculty member of the Department of Environmental Engineering and Dr. Tefide Kızıldeniz Gürbüz from Agricultural Sciences and Technologies Biosystems Engineering faculty memberof our university, took part in was officially launched on December 6, 2023 in cooperation with Çukurova University. This project will take an important step towards addressing the challenges of climate change and supporting the economic empowerment of rural women and children to be more resilient to a changing climate. This comprehensive effort aims to promote sustainable development and support gender equality in the face of environmental challenges.
