Zengan Mining Visit


The academicians of the mining engineering department visited the underground zinc-lead mine of Zengan Mining Company, located in the Yahyalı district of Kayseri Province, to support regional mining activities.

Egeay Mining Visit


In order to support mining activities, the calcite quarry belonging to Egeay Mining Company operating in Niğde was visited.

School Visit


Our department faculty member, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ramazan ÇOMAKLI gave a presentation to 4th-grade students at Niğde Şehit Varol Primary School to inform them about "Our Mines and Mining Engineering."

Erasmus Activity


A PhD student from the Faculty of Mining and Geology at the Erasmus Technical University of Ostrava visited our department as part of his internship activity.

Career Days and Alumni Gathering


A career day and alumni gathering was held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 3:30 PM in the Department Seminar Hall, with the participation of faculty members, students, alumni of the Mining Engineering Department of Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, and Kubilay Ünsal, the Niğde Provincial Representative of the Chamber of Mining Engineers. The event included a presentation/talk and a cocktail reception in the foyer area.

December 4th is World Miners' Day.
