Our Faculty’s Computer Engineering Faculty Members Dr. Yeşim Dokuz, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Şakir Dokuz, and Research Assistant Alper Ecemiş have developed a virtual reality-based software project to shorten the orientation process for new employees in various sectors.

Our faculty members from the Department of Computer Engineering, Dr. Yeşim Dokuz, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Şakir Dokuz, and Research Assistant Alper Ecemiş, have developed a virtual reality-based software in a company they established within our university's Niğde TEKNOPARK Inc., with support from the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization (KOSGEB). This software aims to shorten on-the-job training in various sectors.
As part of the project, virtual reality headsets will be used in numerous sectors ranging from manufacturing, food, and agriculture to the defense industry and service sector. This innovation, based on augmented reality technology, will significantly reduce on-the-job training times, particularly in sectors with high labor turnover. This digitalization initiative offers an important alternative for orientation purposes across industries and will enhance efficiency for businesses in the relevant fields.
In a related statement, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Hasan Uslu, emphasized that our university, which is a pioneer in education, science, R&D, technology, and innovation in many areas, has once again proven its position with this project. 'I congratulate our faculty members and wish them continued success,' said our Rector. He also added that our university, which is among the few higher education institutions in Turkey approved to open a Faculty of Computer and Information Technologies and has launched an undergraduate program in Information Systems and Technologies, will become increasingly renowned in the fields of software, artificial intelligence, and information technologies in the near future
