The patent application titled "Development of an Automatically Controlled Metal Hydride Reactor," submitted by Prof. Dr. Yüksel Kaplan, a faculty member of our Department of Mechanical Engineering, and his project team, has been granted a national patent registration by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office. Furthermore, it received a positive report indicating the potential for international patent approval.
The patent is based on research supported under the TÜBİTAK-1001 Program and constitutes a part of the doctoral dissertation of Gamze Atalmış, a PhD student in the Mechanical Engineering Department of our Graduate School of Natural Sciences.
In addition to Prof. Dr. Yüksel Kaplan, the patent registration recognizes the contributions of Prof. Dr. Bora Timurkutluk and Prof. Dr. Serkan Toros, faculty members of our Faculty of Engineering’s Mechanical Engineering Department, as well as Dr. Mehmet Demiralp, a faculty member of the Niğde Vocational School of Technical Sciences, Motor Vehicles, and Transportation Technologies Program, as co-inventors.
