HEALTHY AND PROSPEROUS LIFE POLICY
Our university aims to combat poverty and hunger, improve the well-being of its staff, students, and local communities, and enable them to live a healthy and quality life.
- To make arrangements and take actions to protect and improve the physical and mental health of everyone living, learning, and working on campus.
- To establish units that provide quality healthcare and social services for all staff and students and to support academic studies in this direction.
- To make arrangements and implement practices to reduce carbon emissions.
- To develop sustainable, environmentally friendly transportation systems and methods that minimize emissions.
- To encourage/support research projects aimed at investigating renewable energy sources that will provide low carbon emissions.
- To take measures to protect and improve health and combat factors that negatively impact health (addiction, violence, mobbing, endemic diseases, etc.), to collaborate with health institutions at local and national levels.
- To make arrangements and take measures to create a smoke-free campus environment.
- To plan to reduce the supply and use of plastic and disposable materials, starting from the procurement process, in accordance with Sustainable Green University principles and a zero-waste approach. To reduce waste generation through prevention, reduction, recovery, and reuse.
- To make arrangements to promote a healthy and active lifestyle and combat obesity and metabolic diseases. Ensuring the accessibility of sports, social, and cultural facilities and ultimately creating sports-friendly campuses.
- Implementing regulations and practices to create green and environmentally friendly campuses to foster a healthy and prosperous living environment.
- Taking the necessary measures to ensure access to affordable, diverse, healthy, and high-quality food for all employees and students.
- Providing part-time employment, healthcare, housing, nutrition, psychological counseling, etc., to enable low-income students to continue their education. Providing support,
- Developing projects to combat poverty and hunger, collaborating with stakeholders to establish joint ventures,
- Organizing training, seminars, and events for staff and students within the scope of combating addiction, and collaborating with stakeholders in this regard.
- Providing reliable products, planning for sustainable environments, and establishing a management system based on green supply chain principles in the food and material procurement process, which includes purchasing, transformation, and logistics activities to meet the needs of students and employees.
- Prioritizing local and sustainable resources in the food procurement process and utilizing the university's integrated waste system to monitor, dispose of, and utilize food waste.
- Ensuring participation in R&D activities and projects, providing consultancy services, training workshops, and providing access to university facilities, etc. Supporting the local community by developing knowledge, skills, talent, and entrepreneurship through various means;
- Providing training (in the use of knowledge, skills, and technology, etc.) to local farmers and food producers on food security and sustainable agriculture, implementing projects, and making university opportunities available to them;
- Developing projects, organizing events, and making opportunities accessible to stakeholders within the scope of social contribution activities to improve and promote health and well-being.
