In line with the objectives of the disabled students unit established at our university;

Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University aims to be a university where the barriers of students with special needs are removed and where all students are integrated. For this purpose, it is aimed to make arrangements that will facilitate the lives of students with special needs in physical spaces such as ramps, toilets, elevators, lighted and audible warnings, to carry out awareness studies, and to provide a continuous and developing service.

The action plan during enrollment at our university;

Before enrollment, students who send their information to our unit will be contacted by phone and notified of the days to register. According to the arrival date of the student in Niğde, the student who comes to Niğde will be brought to the registration office under the supervision of the staff and will be provided with all kinds of convenience. The accommodation of the student who completes the registration will also be introduced by the staff in charge.

The infrastructure works of our university;
The conditions of the physical spaces built for our students with special needs were examined, deficiencies were determined and efforts are made to eliminate these deficiencies. New physical spaces will also be planned and put into service.
Awareness programs;

            To increase the attention of academic and administrative staff by organizing conferences on the approach to students with special needs, problems faced by special needs, and special needs in society by psychologists and students with special needs.

   For this awareness and life without barriers;

· Construction of stairs, elevators and ramps suitable for students with special needs.

· Making a laboratory on the ground floor.

Providing assistant instructors for students with special needs in exams,

Extension of the exam period according to the disability

Establishing a relationship with the Credit and Dormitories Institution for providing dormitories close to the school for students with special needs and providing a room on the ground floor.

· In the meetings to be held at regular intervals for students with special needs, the members of the Disabled Students Unit are informed about the problems they encounter and exchanging views for solutions.

· Establishing support groups for jobs that students with special needs cannot do (such as student's friend groups).

· Giving the lecture grade ready to students with special needs.

· Allocating parking space for students with special needs
