Nigde Omer Halisdemir University Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies organized the “Meeting with Sector Representatives” event on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.
Our speakers this week were MAY TOHUM Human Resources Manager Sebla GÜL and Mustafa AK in the program that brought together students of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technology and leading public and private sector representatives in the field of agriculture and offered our students the opportunity to gain experience, gain experience, gain a glimpse into the agricultural sector, find internships and find employment.

“Projects within MAY Seed”
There are three separate social responsibility projects carried out in order to train new engineers in agriculture and support universities. Of these, Akademay is a three-year project that continues every summer starting from the second year. Students who are successful at the end of the project can be employed if there is a vacant position in the field they want in the company. This project helps students gain new skills and talents as well as stepping into the sector. Another project, Maystaj, allows third-year students to do their compulsory summer internships. This project is also very useful in providing students with experience. Another program, Business Talent, aims to provide graduates with experience. Each project has different characteristics and is useful in providing students with education, experience in their field and stepping into the sector.
“Closing the program”
At the end of our program, which was held with the intense participation of our students, our vice dean Assoc. Assoc. Prof. Zeynep ÜNAL presented certificates of appreciation to our speakers Sebla GÜL and Mustafa AK, thanking the participants and our speaker and ending the program.
