Visit from the Green Collar Club to Our Rector


The Green Collar Club, founded under the leadership of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies at our university, visited our university rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Uslu. The visit was attended by our faculty dean Prof. Dr. Ahmet Şekeroğlu, vice deans Prof. Dr. Halil Toktay and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeynep Ünal, club advisor Dr. Ramazan İlhan Aytekin, club president Abdulkadir Canlı and students who took part in the club general assembly. At the end of the meeting, where information about the club, its vision, mission and the activities planned to be carried out in the coming days were discussed, a souvenir photo was taken.

The Green Collar Club represents individuals who are engaged in environmentally and nature-friendly businesses and work for sustainability and the protection of natural resources. The main goal of green collars is to increase environmental awareness and spread sustainable business practices. The Green Collar Club will contribute to human and environmental sustainability by cooperating with institutions such as the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and undertaking various projects to protect nature and the environment. Green collars are directly actively involved in the fields of agriculture, forestry and the environment. The working style of green collar workers is to focus on developing projects that are compatible with nature and implementing these projects. They also operate in areas such as education, awareness-raising and the use of environmentally friendly technologies. Green Collar workers are known for their direct relationship with nature and the environment, unlike traditional white and blue collar job classifications. . The club aims to work in a wide range of areas such as sustainable agricultural practices, protection of soil and water resources, and protection of natural habitats in the agriculture and forestry sector. In addition, issues such as environmental engineering, renewable energy, ecotourism, and protection of biodiversity are among the areas of expertise of green collar workers.
