The IAAS Student Community, operating under the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies of Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, visited Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University Technical Sciences Vocational School in Karaman within the scope of their ÜNİDES 3rd Term Program supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The program, organized in cooperation with the IAAS Niğde Local Committee and Selçuk University, was held on April 22, 2025, hosted by Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University.

Within the scope of the project titled “DIJI IAAS”, presentations themed “IAAS and Digital Agriculture Vision” met with the participants. The opening speech of the event was made by Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University Technical Sciences Vocational School faculty member Lecturer Sümeyye ERDEM KORKMAZ. In her speech, she touched upon the importance of digitalization in agriculture and underlined the role of interuniversity collaborations and international student communities in this process.

In the program, IAAS Niğde Club President Serhat Hazar OZAN made a presentation that provided information about IAAS introduction and history, vision and mission, and countries where it is active. IAAS European Director Metehan ÜSTÜNDAĞ introduced the IAAS management structure and IAAS projects carried out in Niğde, Turkey and the world. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeynep ÜNAL provided information about digital agriculture, precision agriculture, smart agriculture, the role of artificial intelligence in digital agriculture and studies carried out in the field of digital agriculture. The program ended with the answers to the questions of the participants and their contributions. In addition, within the scope of this program, meetings were held regarding the establishment of an IAAS committee at Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University.
