The IAAS Student Community operating under the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies of Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University held an important event in the Ereğli district of Konya within the scope of the ÜNİDES 3rd Term Program supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The organization hosted by the Faculty of Agriculture of Necmettin Erbakan University on April 24, 2025 was brought to life in cooperation with the IAAS Niğde Local Committee and Necmettin Erbakan University. Presentations titled “IAAS and Digital Agriculture Vision” were presented to the participants within the scope of the project called “DIJI IAAS”.

The opening speech of the event was made by Prof. Dr. Yaşar Karadağ, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture of Necmettin Erbakan University. Prof. Dr. Yaşar Karadağ drew attention to the importance of digitalization in the agricultural sector and emphasized the critical role of interuniversity collaborations and international student communities in this transformation.

IAAS Niğde Club President Serhat Hazar Ozan made an informative presentation about the establishment process of IAAS, its main objectives and the countries it operates in. Then, IAAS Europe Director Metehan Üstündağ provided comprehensive information about the management structure of the group and its projects in Turkey and around the world.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeynep Ünal made a comprehensive presentation on digital agriculture, precision agriculture, smart agriculture applications and the use of artificial intelligence in this field.

The event, which progressed interactively with the questions of the participants, contributed to the promotion of the IAAS community and ended with the meetings held at Necmettin Erbakan University regarding the establishment of the IAAS committee.
