Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies and Niğde Provincial Directorate of National Education Young R&D Unit jointly organized an event titled “Artificial Intelligence Applications in Agriculture Example” in our faculty conference hall on April 17, 2025 at 09:00.
Niğde Provincial Directorate of National Education R&D Unit Branch Manager Mustafa DURAN, teachers and students from various high schools participated in the event.
The program started with the opening speeches of Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies Dean Prof. Dr. Ahmet ŞEKEROĞLU and Branch Manager Mustafa DURAN.
Following the opening, our Faculty Vice Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeynep ÜNAL gave presentations titled “Artificial Intelligence” and “Digital Agriculture”. In the presentation, comprehensive information was shared about the areas of use of artificial intelligence technologies in agriculture, current developments in this field and future innovations.
In the second part of the event, Assoc. Under the guidance of Ahmet Emin KARKANLI, a practical unmanned aerial vehicle training was carried out in the front garden of our faculty.
Then, the students were divided into two equal groups and given various trainings by Dr. Lecturer Kadir ŞAHBAZ and Dr. Lecturer Mehmet Kürşat YALÇIN. In this section, high school students had the opportunity to observe and implement artificial intelligence-supported agricultural systems on site.
At the end of the event, certificates of appreciation were presented to the academicians who contributed, and then the program ended.
