The IAAS Student Community operating under the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies of Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University visited the Faculty of Agriculture of Selçuk University in Konya within the scope of the ÜNİDES 3rd Term Program supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The program organized by the IAAS Niğde Local Committee and Selçuk University was held on April 24, 2025, hosted by Selçuk University. Presentations themed “IAAS and Digital Agriculture Vision” within the scope of the project titled “DIJI IAAS” met with the participants. The opening speech of the event was made by Selçuk University Faculty of Agriculture Vice Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zuhal KARAKAYACI. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zuhal KARAKAYACI emphasized the importance of digitalization in agriculture and underlined the role of interuniversity collaborations and international student communities in this process.

In the program, IAAS Niğde Club President Serhat Hazar OZAN made an informative presentation about the establishment of IAAS, its objectives and the countries in which it operates. Then, IAAS Europe Director Metehan ÜSTÜNDAĞ explained the management structure of IAAS and the projects it has carried out both in Turkey and around the world. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeynep ÜNAL provided comprehensive information on digital agriculture, precision agriculture, smart agriculture applications and the use of artificial intelligence in this field. The event, which progressed interactively with questions from the participants, ended with discussions on the establishment of the IAAS committee at Selçuk University, as well as raising awareness about the IAAS community.
