The "Agricultural Sciences Students Meet" event was held in collaboration with Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, the Ayhan Şahenk Foundation, and the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies. The program, organized to bring together our faculty's graduates and students and to share their experiences, saw a high level of participation. This event, which provided an opportunity for our graduates to maintain strong ties with the school and showed them what career plans they could make after graduation, was well received by our students. The program began with opening remarks by Prof. Dr. Ahmet ŞEKEROĞLU, Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University. Our Dean, in his speech, said, “First of all, I would like to thank the Ayhan Şahenk Foundation and our Rector, Prof. Dr. Hasan Uslu, for giving us the opportunity to organize this program. They supported us in our student gathering, as they do in every organization. As a faculty, we organize events that contribute to our students' social lives as well as their academic lives. The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies always works for the development of its students. In the work we have done in the last two years, we have always had the support of our Rector, Prof. Dr. Hasan Uslu. Thanks to this, we have brought our application areas, national and international academic achievements, and social activities to the best levels ever.” Our Dean concluded his speech by thanking all participants, especially our Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Uslu and the Ayhan Şahenk Foundation.

Mr. Zafer Nuri ERASLAN, President of the Ayhan Şahenk Foundation, stated in his speech, “Mr. Ayhan Şahenk has always attached great importance to education. Therefore, the most advanced infrastructure facilities were used when our faculty was established. We are pleased and proud to see that these facilities are being used in the best way possible in recent years, especially thanks to the efforts of our Rector, Prof. Dr. Hasan USLU, and our Dean, Prof. Dr. Ahmet ŞEKEROĞLU. As a foundation, we support student scholarships as well as the events organized. We hope that our students will make the best use of these opportunities.” Mr. Eraslan concluded his speech by offering advice to the students and thanking everyone who organized the program. Our Rector, Prof. Dr. In his speech, Hasan USLU stated, “Studying at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University is a privilege. Graduating from our Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies is a privilege in itself. Our faculty is the pride of our university. The main reasons for this are, of course, our infrastructure facilities, the breadth of our application areas, and of course, the fact that we are the first and only university in Turkey to provide English-language agricultural education. You, our valued students, are very fortunate to have these opportunities, and we are very fortunate to have such valuable students. We have many graduates who hold important positions in private companies and the public sector, and some who have established their own companies and reached very important positions. We hope that you will be one of them. Our university has made great strides in agriculture; last year, it ranked first in the field of plant protection in the TUBİTAK competency report. Our agricultural application areas have reached over 2,000 acres. Our faculty is constantly increasing its successes with its contributions to our city and country, patents, and international articles.” Our esteemed rector concluded his speech by thanking the Ayhan Şahenk Foundation and our Dean for the organization, and wishing our students and graduates success in their education and professional lives.
