On February 12, 2026, Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University Ayhan Şahenk Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies, in collaboration with private sector stakeholders Pioneer, Corteva Agriscience, and Başak Tarım Ticaret, held an event titled "Silage Maize Cultivation and Silage Production Techniques in Niğde Province."

The panel, chaired by Prof. Dr. Mustafa Avcı, featured academics discussing the technical processes of modern silage production, fermentation quality, and methods to increase yield; while sector representatives shared current data on maize seed technologies, cost analysis, and the commercial aspects of production.

Following an interactive question-and-answer session that blended theoretical knowledge with practical field issues, and which attracted significant interest from maize producers and technical personnel in the region, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Şekeroğlu presented certificates of appreciation to the panelists for their valuable contributions, emphasizing the contribution of university-industry collaboration to regional agriculture.
