Faculty Introduction Event at Şehit Fazıl Doğruöz Vocational Technical Anatolian High School

On Monday, May 5, 2026, Dr. Mehmet Kürşat YALÇIN, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies, organized an information meeting for students of Şehit Fazıl Doğruöz Vocational Technical Anatolian High School to introduce the faculty and contribute to the students' higher education selection process. During the meeting, students were given detailed information about the faculty's academic structure, departments, educational opportunities, and application areas. The interdisciplinary education approach, practical course opportunities, and sectoral collaborations within the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies were particularly emphasized. Information was also provided about post-graduation career opportunities, employment areas, and academic development opportunities.

In his speech, Dr. Mehmet Kürşat YALÇIN stated that agriculture today is not just about traditional production; it is an important scientific field that develops with technology, sustainability, and innovation. In this context, he noted that the faculty offers students an education that meets the needs of the age by combining modern agricultural techniques and engineering approaches. At the end of the meeting, questions from the students were answered, and an interactive discussion was held, particularly regarding the university selection process, department selection, and career orientations. It was observed that the students showed great interest in the event and their awareness of our faculty increased.

In conclusion, it was assessed that this promotional activity contributed to students making informed choices and increased the recognition of our faculty. Similar events are planned to continue in the future.
