The Sustainable Campus Commission, which has begun its activities within our university, held its first meeting on February 25, 2026, in the Rectorate Meeting Hall. The meeting, chaired by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ersin Aydın and Commission President Prof. Dr. Sevgi Demirel, took place at 11:30 AM.

During the meeting, the duties and responsibilities of the newly formed commission were discussed, and the work plan to be followed in line with the sustainable campus goals was evaluated in detail. Furthermore, an exchange of views took place regarding the commission's short-term and long-term activities and potential projects.

The Sustainable Campus Commission aims to contribute to institutional development through studies encompassing environmental, social, and economic dimensions, with the goal of promoting sustainability principles throughout the university.
