ANTI-BRIBERY AND CORRUPTION POLICY

Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University adopts transparency, honesty, accountability, and adherence to ethical values ​​as fundamental principles in all its activities. The University acts with the awareness of its responsibility to ensure the effective, efficient, and appropriate use of public resources and categorically rejects all forms of bribery and corruption.

All academic and administrative staff, students, and stakeholders working within the University are responsible for acting in accordance with ethical rules, avoiding conflicts of interest, and prioritizing the public good in the performance of their duties. In this context, the misuse of duties and powers for personal gain is absolutely unacceptable.

Bribery, corruption, irregularities, embezzlement, extortion, abuse of office, and all similar unethical behaviors are prohibited. Third parties doing business with or potentially doing business with the University are also expected to act in accordance with these principles. No employee or stakeholder may request, offer, or accept gifts, donations, commissions, or similar benefits, directly or indirectly, for material or moral gain.

The university prioritizes impartiality and objectivity in its decision-making processes. All tender, procurement, and investment processes are conducted in accordance with the principles of transparency and competition. Favoritism, discrimination, and practices based on vested interests are strictly not tolerated.

To prevent situations that may create conflicts of interest, it is essential that all employees perform their duties impartially. Personal relationships, economic interests, or external influences should not affect decisions made on behalf of the university.

The university prioritizes raising awareness in the fight against bribery and corruption; it conducts training, information, and guidance activities in this regard. Furthermore, mechanisms have been established to allow the reporting of ethical violations, ensuring the confidentiality of those reporting and guaranteeing that they will not be subjected to any negative treatment.

Detected violations are meticulously investigated within the framework of relevant legislation, and the necessary administrative and legal procedures are applied. The university administration adopts a zero-tolerance approach within the scope of this policy and takes all necessary measures to prevent unethical behavior.
