Prof. Dr. Hasan Uslu was born in 1980, Niğde. He completed his primary and secondary education in Istanbul. Prof. Dr. Uslu graduated from the Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Istanbul University in 2002. He became a research assistant at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Beykent University between the years of 2007 and 2009, he worked as an Assistant Professor Dr. between 2009 and 2011.  In 2011, he was awarded with the title of Associate Professor by the Inter-Universities Council. He worked as an Associate Professor at Beykent University between 2011-2016, as a Professor at Esenyurt University between 2017-2018, and as a Professor at Aydın University between 2018-2019. In May 2019, he started to work as a Professor in the Department of Food Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University.

In addition to his academic career, Prof. Dr. Hasan Uslu worked as the Vice Rector of Istanbul Aydın University, as the Vice Rector of Esenyurt University, as the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, as the Faculty of Health Sciences Deputy Dean, as the Vocational School Directorate, Deputy Director of the Conservatory, University Senate Member, University Board Member etc., he also held administrative duties as a member at many commissions. He served as a member of the Inter-University Board for nearly 2 years.

Prof. Dr. Hasan Uslu has more than 120 academic articles that entered the international citation indexes (SCI) and has more than 2000 citations.  24 out of them are in H index, 64 ones are in i-10 index. He has received many awards as the scientist who has the most scientific publications many times in different years at the universities he has worked for. He was included in the list of the World's Most Influential Scientists in the study conducted by Professor Ioannidis and his colleagues in 2020 published by Mendeley Data. In addition, in the research conducted according to the Google Scholar data dated 6-10 February 2021, and the H index and the number of citations, he was ranked in the 1900^th place in the list of Turkey's Most Influential 6000 Academicians.

Prof. Dr. Hasan Uslu provided consultancy services to many industrial organizations during his tenure in Istanbul. He has made great contributions to the development of products that will replace imported products with the TUBITAK-TEYDEB projects of the companies.

After starting to work in his hometown of Niğde in 2019, he also carried out incorporation activities supported by KOSGEB by developing a domestic product project in order to replace an imported product used in the agricultural sector related to the Calcite Mine extracted from the region of Niğde,

Prof. Dr. Hasan Uslu is married with one child.
