The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University organized an “Applied Pruning Training” event on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.

As part of our faculty's applied training activities, Recep ERDAL, Technical Manager of Alma-Ata Technical Agriculture Ltd. Co., provided pruning training. Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Hasan USLU, also attended the event, along with our faculty students, academic staff, and other participants interested in the subject.

The training covered theoretical information on correct pruning techniques for trees, the effects of pruning on yield and quality, seasonal pruning practices, and the equipment used. In addition, the practical section demonstrated pruning techniques in the field, showing participants the correct application methods for different tree species. The event, which garnered significant interest from participants, provided comprehensive training on pruning practices.

The event, which saw high participation, concluded after answering participants' questions. At the end of the program, Agricultural Engineer Recep ERDAL was thanked for his contributions, and a productive training process providing practical skills to the participants was completed.
