The “Meeting with Industry Representatives – MAY Tohum” program was held.
As part of the program, MAY Tohum company officials Sebla GÜL (Human Resources Manager) and Mustafa AKBENLİ (Training and Development Manager) gave a presentation titled “May Tohum Student Development Programs.”
The presentation provided information about May Tohum's “AkadeMAY,” “MAYStaj,” and “İşte Yetenek” programs. The AkadeMAY program allows second-year students to complete internships in the production, marketing, and sales-R&D departments during the summer months of each year, enabling them to discover which department they are most suited and interested in while still in university. The MAYStaj program allows third-year students to complete their mandatory internships in one of the company's departments, gaining firsthand experience in that department. The İşte Yetenek program aims to provide fourth-year students with experience by working for three months in paid and insured positions within the company's programs before entering the workforce after graduation. The presentation also included talks from students in our faculty who will be actively working in the company's programs in 2026, sharing their interview and work experiences. It was emphasized that student motivation and determination, along with a good level of English, are significant factors in selection for these programs. It was also noted that our faculty's undergraduate programs are taught entirely in English, providing an advantage for our students.
At the end of the presentation, the audience's opinions on the topic were solicited and questions were answered. In addition to the company representatives, students from our faculty working in the company's programs also contributed with their answers. The program concluded with our Dean, Prof. Dr. Ahmet ŞEKEROĞLU, presenting certificates of appreciation to MAY Tohum company representatives Sebla GÜL and Mustafa AKBENLİ for their presentations.
