Our faculty’s Agricultural Genetic Engineering department 4th year students, within the scope of TGM4001-Seed Science and Technology course, made a technical trip to Ankara Field Crops Central Research Institute, Turkey Seed Gene Bank, Biotechnology Research Center and Seed Registration and Certification Center Directorate.

The trip started with a visit to Seed Registration and Certification Center, where information about seed certification and variety registration processes was obtained and laboratories were visited. Then, a short information was given about the protection of our country’s genetic resources at Turkey Seed Gene Bank and seed storages were visited. Finally, information about the studies at Biotechnology Research Center was obtained and unit laboratories were visited.
