Course Objective
To examine the content of the concept of human rights and the fundamental problems in human rights law at national and international level.
Brief Content of the Course
The concept of human rights and its historical development, human rights theory, national and international human rights control mechanisms, application to European Court of Human Rights, case law of European Court of Human Rights, application of European Court of Human Rights decisions in domestic law, prohibition of discrimination, right to equality, freedom of expression , the right to vote and to be elected, the right to education, minority rights. Emphasis will also be placed on sustainable rights classification of rights and protection of the rights of subsequent generations.
