Course Objective
To learn control circuit elements and their working principles and to learn starting, changing the direction of rotation, low voltage starting circuits (star/delta starting purpose, technique, application) in motors and to be able to perform operating control with electric motors by using control circuit elements.
Brief Content of the Course
Control input elements, control output elements, electric motor protection relays, control of electric motors, introduction to special circuit elements, contactors, magnetic and thermal circuit breakers and electromagnetic elements, limit switches, pressure switches, command and control features of AC motors, starting, stopping and braking of motors, changing the direction of rotation, problem control circuits, low voltage starting techniques, star/delta starting, its necessity, application, analysis of motor speed control circuits.
