Course Objective
The aim of the course is to provide students with basic information on teaching and applying badminton technical skills, teaching technical movements, and to prepare students for teaching by enabling them to prepare sample lesson plans using this information.
Brief Content of the Course
The historical development of badminton: badminton in the world, badminton in Türkiye. Equipment used in badminton: badminton court and net, badminton poles, racket, ball, clothing, shoes, and accessories. Badminton hitting and running techniques: racket grip, basic stance; hitting areas and types of hits: high serve, short serve, swip serve, overhead spike, forehand overhand, left overhead spike, backhand overhand, forehand underhand, backhand underhand, drive, drop, playing at the net; running directions and techniques; teaching methods for hitting and running techniques.
