Course Objective
The aim of the course is to provide students with a better understanding of the relationship between energy and macroeconomics. To do this, first important macroeconomic concepts and variables are introduced, and then the effect of energy on these variables is examined. This course also aims to make an assessment of all global energy problems.
Brief Content of the Course
The course is designed for students interested in both macroeconomics and energy, and for those interested in public policy more generally. Examines the effects of energy on macroeconomic variables and policies from both national and global perspectives. Climate change issues, accelerated by excessive dependence on imports and fossil fuel-based energy systems, make it increasingly necessary for countries to turn to domestic and renewable energy sources. Within the scope of the course, renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, hydrogen, biomass, geothermal, water and wave energy technologies are examined in detail and sustainable environmental conditions are addressed. Thus, the concept of sustainability and its usage areas; sustainable environment; Rethinking is provided on the axis of ecology, global environmental problems and energy.
