Course Objective
Aims to teach the importance of herbariums, sample collection methods and the details of storage of herbarium specimens to the students who will study systematic botany.
Brief Content of the Course
Herbarium (a collection of dried plant specimens) plant collection, information and techniques you need to know for collecting, the necessary materials for collecting, pressing and drying, taking necessary notes and labeling from the land, pasting to the cardboard for conservation and storage of plants, poisoning, placement to the herbarium cabinets (Card-Index), plant replacement, borrowing and sending for determination, Herbarium of some particular plant groups (succulent, hidrofit, openseeded, algaes, mushrooms, lichens, ferns, black algae, etc.).
