Course Objective
To gain theoretical and practical knowledge about the structure, methodology, functions and algorithms of operating systems.
Brief Content of the Course
Definition of tasks, communication between tasks, task synchronisation, memory management, virtual memory, paging, swapping, file systems, input-output security, protection, deadly deadlock prevention algorithms, UNIX based concepts, introduction to distributed systems.
