Course Objective
The aim of the soil biotechnology course is to gain knowledge and skills about soil microorganisms, factors affecting soil microorganisms, soil biotechnology and soil microbial applications.
Brief Content of the Course
In this course, the definition of biotechnology related to soil microorganisms, their effects on soil fertility, the role of soil organisms such as N2-fixing bacteria, isolation and identification of plant growth promoting bacteria will be given. Inoculation to plants, production of beneficial soil microorganisms by biotechnological methods and their use as biofertilisers will be emphasised.
Prerequisites
There is no prerequisite for the course.
