To teach basic ecological consets and effects of various environmental problems on ecosystems

Ecology and ecosystems: definitions, theories and concepts; Ecosystem components and properties; Microbial ecology; Toxicology; Major ecosystems and distributions of the world; Energy and nutrient cycles in ecosystems; Alternative energy sources and environmental relations; The causes and consequences of deterioration in the ecological balance for air, water and soil.
