Knowledge on the issues of water pollution control and management
Brief Content of the Course
Physical and chemical properties of water; Determination of sources of pollutants and classification of pollutants; Definitions, meanings and significance of physical, chemical, biologic and radiologic water quality parameters in drinking and domestic water sources; Innovative-sustainable approaches to water pollution; Water pollution monitoring studies; Water pollution control for surface water and groundwater; Management of waste load and assimilative capacity of receiving waters; Water quality criteria and standards; Planning of water pollution management.
