Course Objective
The learning objectives of this course are diffuse pollution consept, introduction of diffuse pollutants and their general properties, diffuse pollution types and estimation of corresponding loads and monitoring, control and management of diffuse pollutants
Brief Content of the Course
General information about diffuse pollution, sustainable natural resources management and diffuse pollution, relationship between land-use and diffuse pollution, diffuse pollution types; atmospheric deposition, erosion & sedimentation, urban & highway pollution, agricultural pollution, toxic pollution, groundwater contamination, receiving water impacts, management and restoration of streams, lakes, watersheds, estimation of different types of diffuse pollutants, criteria used for estimation, diffuse pollution management; agricultural and livestock breeding practices.
