Course Objective
To provide the student of dentistry with knowledge about the basic concepts and principles of psychology, communication and to teach the importance of psychology in dentistry.
Brief Content of the Course
Introduction to behavioral sciences, Neurobiological Origins of Behavior, Psychology, Normalabnormal, psychosis-neurosis, Sexuality, Consciousness, sensation and perception, emotions and emotions, Thinking and problem solving process and intelligence, Learning and Memory, Motivation (motivated behavior), frustration- conflict and aggression Psychoanalytic theory and ego defense mechanisms, Spiritual Sexual and Spiritual Social development, Self-knowledge and personality development and personality evaluation, Socialization and social influence, Communication.
